Hey TIGForums. I thought you might like to know about the
Open Range project - a "fundamentals-of-game-design" initiative to create freeware, open-source cross-platform games. These will be extremely lightweight, "no-BS" games. You run them and you're IMMEDIATELY making interesting, meaningful decisions, and that does not stop until you win or lose (yes, they have win or loss conditions). I was inspired by board games (and their digital versions) as well as older Windows games such as Sean O'Connor's SLAY.
