Hi!
First of all sorry for my bad English.
I am currently working on an Maker for the developing online RPG's...
The first release will be in German but I will search someone who can trasnalate the whole thing =)

In addition to the normal map editor, there exists mch more editors to create a 2Dgame without any coding skills.
There exist following editors:
- Mapeditor
- NPC
- Items
- Skills
- ANiamtions
- Races
- Classes

Some editors don't make sense alone but there exists many connections between. For example items and skills need an race as condition or items can trigger skills etc...
For well thought-out skills and items you can use LUA to make them more special.

For game making there are 3 opportunities:
Offline game:
You create an RPG-Makerlike offlinegame and the datas are saved local.

MMO-RPGstyle:
You have a big server where all players connect to. The datas are saved on the server.

BattleNetStyle:
There will be a Lunacy-Lobby where people can locally host their games and other people can join it. The ideo beind it is to create something like the funmap section in Warcraft 3.

Here is a video to the client (old video because the projectb was freezed a long time):

Some screens of the editor

Nothing special:

NPC-Editor:

Animations:

Ranged combat Items:

2 screens of the client

So thats it!
Hope it interests you.

Looks good. Kind of what PlayerWorlds tried to accomplish. Will you have any scripting involved? If you know any guys from Benign Online, I promised to give 'em a copy of my client/server package when I finish it up.

And for a show of good nature, here's a tileset from Seiken Densetsu 3, which took me forever to rip & palette fix.

I plan to get all of the graphics from that game, since they are absolutely beatiful... Smiley
