Apocalondon
Apocalondon is an RPG-ish, topdown story game about saving the only other survivors in post-apocalyptic London, England.
The meteors fell without warning, demolishing all of your city and killing almost everyone you know. This game draws inspiration from titles like Lone Survivor and VVVVVV. Retro 16-bit art is a little overused in the indie-sphere, but... I used it anyway.

You play a nice gentleman with a hat.

Thanks for checking it out! These aren't mockups, btw, they're in the actual game.

Don't know how seriously you're taking the English Renaissance theme, but neither top hats nor neckties existed in the 1500s.

Yeah, I think I'll drop the whole rennaisance/whatever idea, and just make the setting "London" with no time period. I'm not giving up his tophat and/or necktie! Also, I don't see how I am approaching the theme either :p

UPDATE 5/20/12

I've decided to make this game episodical and have each episode hosted on a website for productivity reasons.
I'm working on this open-source social network for developers called CodeShare (github.com/thatredant/codesha.re/) in between. I think making it episodical will be both fun for me and for the players (that i may/may not have).

Besides that decision, I've begun work on the first episode's quest, which will involve you getting a man back to shelter.
