Howdy folks. A couple of friends and I have been working on the game I started and 'finished' at TIGJam, and it's finally in a state where it's just about presentable. I would love for you to try it out and tell us what you think - no splitting hairs, be as brutal and honest as you need to be. You can try out a playable web version here

CONTROLS:
The game supports one or two players:

Player 1:
      W - Up
      S - Down

Player 2:
      Up Arrow - Up
      Down Arrow - Down

Either Player:
Mouse: Click and drag anywhere on your 1/3 of the screen to move your bats towards that point.

Known Issues:
- Only '1 Player' and '2 Player' buttons on the title screen work. The others lead to blank, empty rooms with no back button, so clicking on them will mean you have to reload your browser page.
- Occasionally the ball will go through the bats. This is due to janky collision code that I need to improve.
- The AI player might be a little dumb. Also something I need to improve.

Thanks, and let us know what you think!

Getting pretty close to done. We've changed up a few things over the last few weeks:

- Many more, smaller bricks in the center of the screen
- Increasing speed/power of the pucks as you bounce them off the bat. Faster pucks will removed larger numbers of bricks from the wall
- Hitting a puck with your small bat will turn it into a bomb that will blow out a pretty massive chunk out of the wall and award you many more points. The puck will be destroyed in the process.
- We've done away with lives, and instead new pucks will spawn for each player every 30 seconds. If one player controls all the pucks at any given time, the other player will spawn a new one after a couple of seconds.

I'm creating a post in the playtesting subforum for folks who want to provide feedback.

I just tried to follow the link to the playable web demo and got a 404 error.

I played the demo for a bit, interesting concept.

Have you played Shatter? I feel like your game needs one or two features to spice it up and Shatter may be a good source of inspiration. I felt like it took too long playing a basic arkanoid style game before breaking through to the other side. Maybe one or two feature additions could help the game up the adrenaline level?

Hi FamousAspect. Thanks, glad you find it interesting. Smiley

We do have plans on adding more crazy stuff on an ongoing basis. We'll also likely add a simpler game mode that isn't as crazy to begin with, and let players dial up the crazy as they get more comfortable with the controls and such.

Shatter was definitely a really good twist on the genre, I haven't played it extensively, but I've seen it played by other people.

We submitted to iTunes over the weekend. Barring getting rejected, it's pretty much done Smiley

And we passed Apple cert, so it's done.

Guess that means I finally finished a game.

Now to release, do ports, all that jazz.
