Hi all,

I've been working on a site about SOPA given the ESA coming out in support. Something like those the big companies have put up with lots of company logos. We can do the same.

https://sites.google.com/site/gamers4freedom/

If anyone wants to add their logo, my contact info is on the site.

I would be curious if there is a way to put counter-pressure on the ESA to withdraw SOPA support, as several industry orgs and corps already have in response to consumer outcry.

If you're going to do this, I would recommend getting a domain for it instead of making it a Google Site subsite.

It needs more traction before I can afford to do that, which is why I'm posting here (and on Reddit /r/sopa )

We also need to gather information on the ESA member companies and their management and call/tweet/email/mail our frustration en masse.

RockPaperShotgun has already contacted ESA members regarding their positions on SOPA and has received a few responses, which they have listed on a page on their site. Some have responded that they're against SOPA, some others saying they're undeclared, most haven't responded yet.

I'm not against the concept of it... as both somebody on a narrow budget -AND- a software engineer, I can kinda see both sides of the issue. I think the most trouble comes from consumer's rights and how they're questionably "defined." (But more honestly, the lack thereof.)

It's just a bad execution of a good idea.
