Hello! I finished my Kitty 3 project recently. It's a short-ish and simple pixelly platformer with exploration elements. It was made in Adobe AIR and should run on most platforms. There is a demo for Android, too, but it still has a few problems because I can't handle multitouch properly yet. You can find it on the Android Market. Another thing missing is the actual soundtrack, so this game sports my own bleeps and beeps for now.

The basic idea behind the game is collecting moneybags and coins in order to progress. There are a lot of hidden areas and there's a secret boss, too! Kittey, the hero of the game, gains a few abilities along the way.

I'm pretty new to Flash and this is my first finished AS3 project. I had to keep it simple because it wouldn't run on cell phones otherwise (but that could also be the fault of my code).

To run it, it's a good idea to have Adobe AIR installed. The Windows version asks if you want to install AIR if it's not installed.

Thanks for playing!

Just out of curiosity, being a Flash developer of sorts, what's the reason you're launching with AIR? What AIR features does the game use that kept you from releasing it browser-playable.

Anyways, looks really great, I'm loving the colors in those screens.

Ah, well... it does run in a browser, it just won't display a loading screen, no matter what I do. Also, in the AIR version, saving to files is possible. The standard flash cookies like to get removed by cleaner apps and so on.

I suppose I could upload a browser version, too. I didn't think of it somehow. Smiley Will do so once I get home. EDIT: Just did that. The link is in the first post.

I'd guess it's a new one by the fact that it's neither AGwaK or AGwaK 2, but AGwaK 3.

I haven't played very far since I have to sleep now but I'll check it out more thoroughly in the morrow Waaagh!

It's a new game, yeah. It has a few similarities to the first game, but focuses more on exploration and hidden areas.

Feel free to PM me if you need help. Smiley I kind of thought I made this one easier, but maybe my judgement was a little off.

When I visit the page with the browser version, I immediately get this error:

Code:
VerifyError: Error #1014: Class flash.events::TouchEvent could not be found.

at global$init()

Then it goes all strobe on me, looping through what looks like about 8 frames at lightning speed.

I tried reproducing it but I couldn't get it to show me that. What OS and browser are you using? Do you happen to know your flash player version? Thanks! Smiley

EDIT: I just made a different version which I think should play in Flash Player 9.0: http://www.origamihero.com/k3comp.php

Does this one work for you?

Thanks, ori and Stargoat. I can't really make big projects these days but a small game here and there is possible. Smiley
