the city area is basically yharnam with some "medieval" flags lol
edit: im pretty sure theyre actually reusing assets from bborne haha. the chairs and metal fences look rather familiar for instance.

also those might be placeholders (i kinda hope this game doesnt actually come out until 2k17 but seeing the wealth of screens here it doesnt look like it) btw - To release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One in 2016 - PC release is "negotiable." - 1-4 players - Sacrifice ritual allows you to enter other people's games - Bosses can "heat up," changing their form - Swordfighting arts add special moves that can be equipped and changed i guess this info is to be taken with a grain of salt tho

i just read some speculation that these might actually be bloodborne dlc screens with dks characters and UI photoshopped in (i mean theyre not really going to reuse the dks1 UI right). idk how plausible that but still lol

That theory supposes
a- bloodborne dlc looks a lot like dark souls world design b- bloodborn dlc screens have leaked, but the public isn't aware c- one of the people who posesses these leaks is incredibly savvy about how game art looks and how modern rendering/post fx look, also has a bunch of dark souls or dark souls like 3d models on hand d- that person decided to preform an elaborate hoax and then leak those assets e- for some reason from and the other people are of the bb dlc leak have decided to stay silent.
the dks leak theory supposed: a- that they are using exiting ui as a standin

a- bloodborne dlc looks a lot like dark souls world design this looks way more like bborne than dks1 or 2 also everything in the actual screens that arent concept art (other than the player character wearing dks elite knight armor and a shield and the HUD) looks like something that could conceiveably be in bborne. tldr these screens are totally a masonic illuminati conspiracy

guys, I think the internet cynicism I'm reading everywhere is getting to me because the "60 minutes of cutscenes" thing is starting to concern me.

what 60mins of cutscenes
edit: nvm just saw. yeah idk i dont think any of this "leaked info" is credible tbh. we'll see when E3 rolls around.
anyway if they manage to combine the tactical side of bborne with the strategic side of dks1 it could be the ULTIMATE SOULS

if you add up every minute of cutscene in dks1 i'm sure it'd be around 60m

very highly doubt this. its probably 10 max if youre very liberal in your definition of cutscenes

counting any time control (except skipping and dying/reviving) is taken away from the player, so:
intro cinematic intro cutscene leaving the asylum returning to the asylum ringing the first bell ringing the second bell going to anor londo leaving anor londo placing the lordvessel and showing where to go next lit ending dark ending
it's probably on the order of 20m actually, but still. 60m of cutscene spread out over an entire dark souls game is like. nothing.

most of these scenes are under a minute long. even if you count the boss intros (which you didnt for some reason) its not 20min
but anyway, why would dark souls ever use length of cutscenes as a selling point? thats why im calling fake

I really wish the white roman/greek building is actually real, could be bloodborne dlc or dark souls 3, please do it I think a lot of the pics have dark souls vibes, the dragons, the field full of swords, the enemy in medieval armor, the tables of woood, this all gives me more medieval feelings than bloodborne ones. Nitpick: I would actually prefer a new game in medieval setting but outside of dark souls mythology, kind of like when they moved from demon souls to dark souls. I don't want to kill four great beings with great souls that resemble gwyn, izalith, seath, etc, like darksouls2 have presented the cyclical nature of the world. And if they don't do it, how are they going to explain the change of the canon? It gives me headaches

these screen actually gave me a lot of demons souls vibes (in addition to obvious dark souls vibes). that knight armor looks more bulky (in a good way) than we've seen in recent Souls. i bet it goes clink a lot (new audio samples plz)

btw i have MADE PEACE with the chalice dungeons. sure theyre not amazing but they are pretty fun once you get into the "rhythm" of them. theyre also well suited for short play sessions so that's cool. also for an arcane build theyre perfect because 1. elemental weapons are much more gem reliant for good damage than physical ones, and the best gems are in the chalices , 2. with a high arcane stat and willem's eye rune it's pinata city down there.
oh also elemental weapons are actually pretty damn good, esp late game. im currently stomping everything with my fire gemmed saw cleaver.

regarding dungeons, I really like that I can fight bosses on a char whenever I want to, without playing through NG repeatedly
random thing: I had a dream that the new bloodborne DLC weapon was a saxophone that sprayed flames. plz from
