I'm a fan of the genre, so I'd like to know more about this.
Will levels be tower-defense like missions or more conquest oriented?
Is there anyway to customize my troops/weapons/spells?
In the video I saw hero gaining level, but I don't understand what it means?
Video and screenshots differ, there are some numbers at the bottom of the screen whichnare not shown in video? What are those?
As for feedback, map graphics is somehow not up to par with UI. Also, the video gameplay seems a bit hectic. I wonder how steep will the learning curve be.
It would be much easier to give feedback if there was any way to actually try the game. Is that possible at all before the beta?
Anyhow, keep it up and good luck!
Hi Mimir!
As we have multiple victory conditions, you will see different mission types. Some of them are defend enemy tower, escort unit(s) to certain point, survive for X minutes, capture strategic point of interest, kill certain enemy units, etc..
There is out of game leveling that we'll release in Beta, where you will uprade your troops, warlords, spells, home tower.
When you kill enemy units and your warlord is nearby, you gain experience, that with each level you get 1 skill point to increase level of 1 of your 3 different special abilities. This is what we call ingame leveling. Besides leveling your warlord, there are strategic points like armory, blacksmith, tavern where you upgrade your army on that level.
Video is from v 1.51, while screenshots are from v 1.6 Those numbers below you units are cost to spawn them. You get resource for spawning units with time (1 point every 0,5 second), and you can increase its speed with Tavern strategic point of intrest.
Beta version will have very short and easy ingame tutorial. From time you start the game, you will learn all things very quickly. We made game to for casual and midcore gamers, but we added enough depth to combine for hard core gamers.
