Hey. I'm new to the forums (tried to register earlier, but I couldn't, as I didn't know what the F in IGF stood for - even today, I tried Function (In-Game Function) and Forums (TIGForums?), both incorrect).

Anywho, I'm a new indie game developer called SolarLune, and this is a game that I've been working on called GridSpace. It will be a game much like Geometry Wars, in that it's a top down shooter, but it will take place in a larger area, with more of an area to traverse. It is being made with the Blender Game Engine.

The particles hitting the ground after the laser is tentative - I'll make something more appealing later.

Follow it on my game development homepage at SolarLune Games. There's also an IndieDB page here.

The game looks very cool, I didn't know blender had a game engine!  Is there a playable demo?  Usually people post here for playable feedback, so if you are earlier in the development process you might be interested in starting a DevLog here, in addition to your personal website, for which there is a dedicated forum: http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?board=27.0

Anyway the game looks cool, I'll keep my eye on it.

Really? I didn't know that - I might go ahead and make that log. A demo isn't out now, but should be out soon (hopefully). Thanks!

EDIT: And yep, Blender has a pretty powerful game engine. Being able to use the modeler right next to the game engine means that importing mesh assets is easy as pie. It's pretty sweet.
