Don't worry Terry, If you submit next year, it'll mean that you have a full year to prepare it. That's what I decided to do: not rush something for this year and instead take my time to do something better for next year.

Don't worry, the project was not ready to be presented to the public, even less to be judged. Smiley

I'm uploading my piece of turd RIGHT NOW.

What I love about when I upload stuff is when it doesn't work, I get a "TRANSFER FAILED", and when it works but it took time, I also get "TRANSFER FAILED". And I am already a paranoid person.

I pretty much have to rely on the fact that the file size is identical to what it should be.  WTF

Maybe they'll have a special category for incomplete file transfers in IGF

Not for another little while; we're not going to have a demo for the IGF Sad

Oh well. There's always next year.

Hint: enter anyway. You can update your entry beyond the deadline.

We haven't worked on Ciellus since last Sunday, and there's maybe two or three weeks of work to do on it before it's even ready for an initial showing. It's just too late Sad

Thank goodness the Student Showcase deadline isn't for two weeks.

Yes, I do! Adam Atomic is going to help me solidify the collision stuff, while I finish the tutorial and clean things up.

Screenshots? Nay, what we truly need is a Ciellus trailer! Grin

Since they haven't got one for IGF I think that's out of the question. Trailer, however, is very much doable, and shouldbe done. Now.

I WILL, too.

IF I'm allowed to submit a completely broken, filled-with-holes game, and give me two or three weeks to patch and complete the missing parts.

Good thing I'm doing tiny, minimal games.

I disagree.

They want to make it uber awesome, and an awesome trailer also needs awesome timing and awesome music.

If they got all that ready, I agree with you, but as they worked hard on GETTING SOMETHING DONE, I doubt it  Sad

Trailers are a lot of work. If they're doing Ciellus work, I'd rather they do it on Ciellus.

Personally.
