So, how does it work again? Who can submit for free and who has to pay? Who can submit at all?
Also, Xerus, I know what you submitted.

Phew... I let a co-worker here play "Agatha Ragata" during our lunch break. He actually laughed out loud at several occassions. I'm pretty happy about that, even though I'm doubtful it's enough to bring us to IGF...

Those Agatha Ragatha concepts posted on the oxeye blog are really nice! Perhaps I should answer to this topic myself too, seemed to have overlooked that when starting the thread hehe. We entered Puzzlegeddon...and something else too

So I wanted to enter this into the student competition but I only really really actually started working on it (scrapped the prototype and started over) two days ago so it wont be done by the student competition deadline. I guess IGF will have to wait for next year. I might even enter the main competition next year though if this game turns out good enough. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I need to finish this game by mid December anyways because it's for a class project haha. It's a game with robots and lines if you can't tell.

Keep in mind you can submit a demo and update it after the deadline.

Oh yeah? How much time do I have to update it? Actually, the problem is I'm developing this engine for a class and it requires a large physical element so I can't submit it to IGF (unless I make 10 of physical portions >__>). The engine was originally intended for an artsy game which is what I wanted to enter into IGF. I'm not going to be able to finish that to the degree of polish that I want until next year.

Oh yeah? How much time do I have to update it? You can update entries at any point in the judging process. The only caveat is we can't guarantee when your game will be scored--it might be next week, it might be next month. Judges are busy people and human nature is on your side, though. But be warned--there are a lot of judges that approach their workload by doing a few games every weekend continuously, rather than a bunch at once near the end...

Based on this thread 90% of the submission are from Sweden.
I don't think you can update your student submission, but I might be wrong...

I submitted Arc Aether Anomalies. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the Excellence in Visual Art category since Arc is a glorified graphics demo >_<Definitely looks like there's a lot of quality stuff this year. Can't wait to see how it goes.
