Some gits knocked off my top minoscore.

I managed a good 5 hours at the number one spot, though. Which was nice!

Not indie at all, but Gameloft, Capcom and SEGA are offering lots of iPhone games for only $0,99 today. Here are lists: Gameloft, Capcom, SEGA.

I've never played Street Fighter IV and Phoenix Wright, and both for a dollar each to play on the go is pretty intriguing.
Beware, though: Most of SEGA's classic ports apparently suffer from mediocre performance and controls. And whenever they release a new one, they just keep on using the same emulator..

Wow, thanks for the tip ! I just picked Shadow Guardian and SFIV.
Some EA titles are on sale at $0,99 on the US store too, but not the French one. Had to pay €3,99 for Rock Band Reloaded Sad

Kinda want to reboot this thread to see if anyone has any interesting, new iPhone games they'd like to suggest.

Here's some games I own, all highly recommended.

Puzzle Agent is the only one I'd consider "new", and it's not even that new.

It's a great game though, especially if you like Graham Annabelle (who's handiwork is literally everywhere in this game) and his dark/creepy humor.

Kometen is also worth getting. Smiley very chillaxing and fun. At first I worried it'd get boring but I keep coming back and enjoying myself.

As you might notice there is a separate folder for my "Not Indie" games.
I find that it's best not to mix them in together because the indie games kill the smaller, weaker commercial titles. It gets very messy.

Helsing's Fire: Procedually generated spatial puzzles with a gothic theme.

Ynth and Beyond Ynth I quite liked, they are puzzle games where you play a ladybug who rotates blocks and dodges spiked-fruit in the boxes, pushes boxes etc. Well-done mechanics.

Self-promotion: I find my game Enlightenment Vision more fun than most titles I've downloaded. It's physics / arcade that started off as "can I make an iPhone" game. The experiment worked imo

. there's a bug that makes the physics extra "fun" and in hard to reproduce cases can force a restart on your game, I will fix it though.
Also made another one called ComboRocket but it needs some redesign.

100 rogues is a decent roguelike, the updates keep improving it well. Nice "challenge" mode addition (complete all of them and get extra starting mana or something).

Tower Defense plug: Fieldrunners has tons of great reviews and well-deserving. Excellent balance, challenging gameplay. "Build your own maze" style.

Jet Car Stunts is pretty good.

That's everything that comes to mind for now of "play often" games. Enjoy.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Eliss is great too! I didn't enjoy Rolando too much. Will look up Kometen.

EDIT 2: Orbital kicks ass for a single player physics challenge, and multiplayer rocks.

There's a port of the first Phoenix Wright game, probably my favorite thing on iOS so far.

Infinity Blade is fun.

Is it really? I kinda figured it'd get extremely boring after a few minutes. It's pretty as heck though.

Is there more than just the swordplay?

I've been playing the hell out of Carnivores and Disc Drivin'. Hook Worlds is great, too.

It's basically Punch-Out on steroids with pretty graphics. It starts out fairly plain, bot gets deeper and more challenging on later "bloodlines." It's certainly not the greatest thing ever, but well worth the 5 euros I paid for it.

Hey guys, two excellent iOS new releases out.

One is another Jeff Minter game, Minotron 2112, basically Robotron on acid (and with minotaurs) and extremely fun

The other Hot Springs Story, an onsen management game from Kairosoft, the same dudes that made Game Dev Story and every bit as addictive, if not more.

I'd try I Love Strawberries Smiley

It's an awesome platform game with lots of levels and a nice scoring system.
Will keep you busy for quite some time!

Minotron is so awesome, and so surreal! So many odd pop culture references, sounds and visual effects.  Who, Me?

I also appreciate the controls a lot, as they work so well. I typically hate twin-stick controls on iPhone, and this is essentially a variation on that, but it works Wink

Did anyone say "all Cave games and all Llamasoft games" yet? If not: all Cave games and all Llamasoft games. They happen to be Espgaluda II, DoDonPachi Resurrection, Mushihimesama Bug Panic, Minotron 2112 and Minotaur Rescue.
