In the Pixel Art thread, there are about 270+ pages. When I view the thread, I can either see the first 3 pages, or the last two.

But what if I want to view page 71? Maybe I can just type ...url.../page=71 ? Nope.

It's something like page "162.8830", which is really incomprehensible. Well, if I can't just type in the page number easily, can I rapidly click through from page 1 until page 70?

Nope, it only displays links for the next two pages. So I must go through, 2 pages at a time, until I get to the deeply buried inner pages of the thread.

Is there an easier way to do this?

erm, take this url

http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=1.40

the 1 designates the thread, the second number designates the post number at the top of the page (in this case, the 40th post).  it's pretty straight-forward?

If you want to be able to generate a clickable index of all pages, pornzilla will be able to help.

I got through that thread by viewing a few pages a day then bookmarking where I am up to and picking up again later.  Grin Also have done that with a few other excellent threads I have found on this forum.  Hand Thumbs Up Left

Nope, it's not straightforward at all.

Thread 162, showing message number 8830 first. Each page has 15 posts. You can do a simple algorithm + greasemonkey atht will get you all the pages.

Nope, it's not straightforward at all.

It probably helps if you pay attention to only the number after the dot at the end of the URL. Go to the thread you want to see page 71 (for example) of.

Take the number of the page you want to go to and subtract 1. Multiply this number by 15. In this case, the answer would be 1050.

Replace the 0 after the dot with this number. You should now be on the page you want to be at.

I realise this has already been said, but maybe straightforward (I hope) instructions will help some people...

Mmm... yeah, I kinda agree that an easier way to access specific pages in a thread with precision would be pretty good.
