What is this game about?
Players will fight each other in a battle-royale style fight where 8 players fight to death on an island. Players will find different items scattered randomly around the procedurally-generated levels which they will use to fight and kill each other.

What is the style of the gameplay?
The fighting mechanics and gameplay is based heavily on the top-down shooter, Hotline Miami, but the premise of the game is very different. The fast-paced gameplay will force players to learn the mechanics of fighting and kill other contestants based on their skill and not just luck.

What have you done so far?
  • Game Engine [70%]
  • Randomly generated arenas [30%]
  • Weapons [10%]
  • Network Implementation (will probably rewrite at least twice) [20%]
  • Cool sprites thanks to my friend, Mark [20%]

What features will be added to the game?
  • Matchmaking
  • Randomly generated loot
  • Perks?
  • Character customization?
  • Traps/Obstacles
  • Defensive Items

Just show me some damn screenshots

Player and the shoreline

Can I use these sprites in my game?
No. They are not mine to give away.

You say that it will be fast-paced like Hotline Miami, which I guess also means low-health/hard-hitting.

But since it's top down you can't really see that far, so I imagine it could end up with a lot of people running around getting random kills and general chaos on the map.

Of course I don't know but just how I would initially think it would end up.

Good luck with the progress looking forward to see some progress Smiley
