The one I love most is "Muslims aren't a race".

yes criticism of islam has become very complicated

If we need to be careful when criticizing Islam, it's because racist shitheads love to interpret any criticism against Islam as a validation of their generalized hatred against all Muslims.

it should be noted here that post-9/11 "muslim" became an extremely racially charged word in the west that basically denotes "scary foreign brown person". that's probably really obvious but bears repeating because of the "duh muslims aren't a race" argument torchkas mentioned.

that said, there were/are definitely people on the left who romanticize the "anti-imperialism" of radical islamist groups (not so much now anymore with ISIS being so obviously terrible) and there are also points to be made about well meaning white liberals handwaving the issue of radicalization.

what i've noticed about the immigration and multiculturalism debate in my country is that it's mainly led by privileged white people (like me lol). the right is outright hateful and bigoted while the left is often patronizing. the people actually being talked about (immigrants/people of color) don't get a lot to say in this debate and often seem to be treated like an amorphous mass for aforementioned privileged white people to project their ideology onto.

tho, looking around me, i don't think the west has a problem with being overly accepting of radical islam at the moment lol.

so yeah, like i said: COMPLICATED

welp the american govt actually supported the mujahideen in afghanistan in the 80s and so contributed directly to the formation of al qaeda.

the radical islamism issue goes way beyond religion anyway. it's the result of complex political machinations and isn't going to be fixed by white westerners hating on muslims and/or islam.

The fun fact is that they are both right wing groups using legitimate concern to advance their agenda, ie the western/islamist world do bad thing therefore I'm right, OBEY ME! Of course that's irelevant to your concern or problem, it's misdirection.

The Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess on New Nintendo 3DS

emulated on n3ds .... wtf
Well yeah, when you keep the same architecture for all your consoles, shit like emulation becomes way easier than on other things. Still, this is running at like 15 fps and I would never play it lol

No, the Wii mini is a mini Wii.

But yeah I think a lot of nintendo hardware have similar architecture. I was talking out of my ass a bit though when I said the wii and 3DS were similar, because the 3DS hardware is more based on the DS hardware, who is in turn based on the GBA, and then finally on the GabeBoy. Fun fact: the GBA games that were offered for the ambassador program early in the 3DS's life were in fact not emulated, but simply run on the part of the hardware that was basically just a regular old GBA, which is why you can't pause games by closing the lid.

it will forever remain a mystery why they didnt release more gba games on 3ds and chose to release them on wii u instead. it just makes 0 sense. im super glad i have those ambassador games. theyre a nice selection too, except for mario kart (worst in the series).

Crazy nintendo SPECULATION time

The next nintendo console will have "see through" AR 3D touch display, ie like a hirez 3DS that capture reality on one side and apply 3D game objects on top. Allow direct interaction with reality through image recognition.

nvm, GB through 3DS have ARM processors whereas the GCN through Wii (and kinda the WiiU) have PowerPC CPUs. My bad.

Which puts the question back on the table: How did they get that game running on a 3DS?? Huh?
