Angry Boulders, a game I made for experimental gameplay like 4 years ago was featured on G4TV. Unfortunatly they gave credit to Ben Olding Games, I don't know why, I think they just randomly guess who created games instead of doing something crazy like opening up the readme. I emailed them and I got 2 emails from different people from G4TV saying they would fix it but they never did. Here is the video: http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/684096/Indie_Games_Angry_Boulders.html

I had two games mentioned in PC Zone (UK) quite some time ago. They were both runners up in a game making contest. Anthony Flacks excellent Bert the Barbarian won the top prize so no complaints there. They sent me a copy of the mag with my prize, note I only got one prize even though I had two games in the runners up Lips Sealed, it should still be around here somewhere.

Also, Konjak if you're reading, the other day I just saw your Chalk game on some remote corner of a Portuguese gaming magazine called "B-Gamer", it was a late issue too, it was from July or something:

Sorry for the bad quality, I only had my cell phone's camera lying around

I saw that, congratulations Grin

They emailed me to ask me a few questions a while ago so I picked it up thinking I'd be in that issue, then I opened it up and was like Cry . But maybe I'll be in the next one Smiley

To be honest, if I was the editor I probably would have gone with your interview too - mine was mostly just me ranting about how great Final Fantasy VII was :D

My cricket game was featured in the Guardian newspaper, and QWOP was featured in the Metro (that subway newspaper) or so I've been told.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Also, I'm not sure where they got "celeb" from. I'm pretty sure they just made that up.

I saw that, congratulations Grin

Thanks Terry! Hopefully your interview will pop up soon. I never actually played Final Fantasy VII, but my brother and sister were pretty obsessed with it as I recall. It's on my list of things to play...someday.

I can only reply music-wise but my... 1-2 minutes of fame is featured in some backing vocals in one of the Christmas tracks in the 2007 Doctor Who special. Drunken Irish-pub singing for the win.

A mod I created for Oblivion called DangerSense was featured in a top gaming magazine, can't remember what the mag was called. My modding name was addiktive back in those days... Actually the UniqueLandscapes project for Oblivion was pretty popular too. Was nice to be recognised for the work.

15 minutes?
FAME?

I don't know if there was a situation where I got "fame", but one day I decided to check if I could find my own game called Tricorne on google... And I stumbled by the fact, that 2 freeware game portals offered it without my knowledge! The actual sum of downloads is 366. Not bad for a game I never advertised that much... And it's so cheap.

And I got >5000 clicks on the german blitz forum thread. A piece of fame. But how "big" is fame? Hmpf, that is driving me nuts.
