Girl Genius is my favorite, although I only recently picked up on it. I've got a weakness for steampunk. And Phil Foglio.
Eww but the women are so ugly .

Oh Picard, if you get so upset over it why even surf the net? Don't you have some Borgs to kill and Captain Kirks to rescue from perfect interdimensional dream worlds?

I made them It was ages ago for a Something Awful thread. Occasionally a Garfield thread pops up where people mess with the strips. I had a few others too, but I can't find them.

Like, make them more interesting than they normally are?
Is that even considered a challenge?

Garfield is the shittiest comic ever made and deserves to be fucked with. There's no challenge involved, it's just something that has to be done.

I think the word is most commercial. It might mean the very same thing.
Talking about shitty comics, there's also that one from the artist who can't take criticism without crying in a pillow and then rambling about it publically. NeoTokio, I think it's called...

Although I find most webcomics embarassingly bad, I feel more and more that they've inherited most of their failings from newspaper strips. The whole medium is just bad, though I think it does have great potential.
It's a testament to how cool Tigsource is (or how much I like it here) that I enjoyed pretty much every webcomic in this thread.

Care to elaborate? You know, now I think about it, webcomics and newspaper strips are actually bad for rather different reasons. Webcomics try too much, whereas strips try too little. Strips cater for the lowest common denominator, whereas webcomics aim for a very specific audience, usually GAMERS who like PORTAL CAKE. But what they have in common, is that cringe-inducing feeling when they peter out on the last panel, with two or more speech balloons each with a mildly amusing line, desperately trying to combine into something resembling a punchline. The reason I love surreal/black humour comics such as PBF, is because they can get away with this due to the pervasive humour of the whole situation. Bleh, that was way too much thinking for a post about webcomics. Why can't you just leave me and my opinions in peace?
