Hi.
I'm currently programming a simple 2D game engine / framework / codebase so I could construct a portfolio & hopefully work on something fun in this community.
For that I need a graphic to function as the logo of the game engine, displayed in the splash-screens.
If you think you can do some simple, elegant & good looking logo for me, I'll be very grateful. If somebody already posted a graphic, you can still post your own & I will choose the one which I like the most.
Here's some details:
The engine is called "Jarl Engine", Jarl being a norse sort of a chieftain.
"Chieftain", leader, for good luck. Norse because it's cold, it's cold on the poles, and there are penguins on the poles, and Tux is a penguin.
The engine is a simple 2D engine which can compile for Windows, GNU/Linux and Mac.

 I was bored with half an hour until Ludum Dare so I did this. I'm not an artist and it was rushed(only half an hour). I would choose _Madk's one if I were you. |

Pixelulsar - The idea is nice, it looks cute; but the text's colour seems abit off.
Thanks for your time! I appreciate it, but don't you think you could improove it abit for me?
Also, being provided with a high-resolution version would be much appreciated.

It is even more beautiful now! How do you do it? I was kind of intending for it to look pixelated like so: (a lot of my games are pixelated, so I like that style.)  |

I like Pixelulsar's version, however the rescaled version's jaggedness looks abit weird. Perhapes a little bit of anti-aliasing could do wonders. Just alittle though.
impulse9 - Nice work on the helment, but I think that the text is abit cheesy. I like Pixelulsar's version better ATM.
Phlebas - Is this an old man with poop coming out of his eyes?

If you need any sound design done for the logo if you end up having it animated in the splash or anything like that, gimme a shout! I'm in a sound design program and am always looking for fun stuff to do for something that actually helps someone!  A little smack or a sword swoosh or a helmet bonk and a little chord resonance or something, I'm your guy! |

It was pretty rushed though, if you want me to touch it up just ask after Ludum Dare(monday).
I really shouldn't be on Tigsource, I should be working on my entry(but I'm not).
