C418 is 1337
And by that I mean "C418" is like "1337" (they are the same) pretty fast. It's similar to "Odd Duck 2".
Good game you made there. It really is fun to try all the combinations a keyboard can give to make the best plane possible.

Man, this game made me laugh. First plane I try, "Melly", is a huge jumbo with puny wings and thruster that couldn't go into the air for anything. Next plane is a more balanced, slim model, but due to my lack of experience I instantly loop and crash, laughing out loud.
Awesome game. Could use with some sounds. Engine sounds would be awesome. I eventually got the hang of the more balanced planes.

"Fast" is as fast as the name suggests and "Gandalf" isn't bad either! Nice game

Whoa ! Impressive, I tried a lot of names and always get various nice planes. This is the way I like PG contents.
I also got a big one with "Massachussets".

this is fun. I like going for the records. Wish there was something to compare mine to though.
I particularly had been going for altitude, took a couple jets and found one that got me up to 5590 so I was thinking thats as high as I could go. Well I just put another name in and got to 16796

Haha, this is awesome. The 2D aerodynamics is fun and the randomness (PG-ness) adds a whole lot of depth, both because the planes fly so differently, and because it creates an entire extra layer of gameplay, where you try to search for relevant word/plane pairs.
"Big" makes a tiny plane with giant rocket boosters. "Quick" is a colossal red biplane with wings so small it can't get off the ground.
Nice job!

Haha. Here are the ones I tried so far: Hideous: Did small lifts, then immideately came back down again. Hideous MK II: Didn't fly at all Hideous MK III: HUGE biplane with small wings, and an engine so heavy everything but the engine would come off the ground. Also space still says "Randomize Plane", instead of "Roll" or whatever it does.

I'm so glad folks are enjoying this AirTime: Civil Procedure 299 m 45 s Distance: Civil Procedure 268.6 miles Hah, guess you found the bug that makes some planes able to fly forever. I forgot about this whole conservation-of-energy law of physics. Could use with some sounds. Engine sounds would be awesome. Definitely. I'm playing around with sfxr right now. I couldn't find any freebie sounds that worked well.

Along with the procedural planes, you should be able to build your own, too. I'm really liking this so far.

This was pretty fun to mess around with. My best plane so far has been "Stunts".
Would be interesting if there were a few goals to accomplish. Trying for a speed or loop record was fun, but maybe something more solid, or something to enhance the stunts you pull. Usually, unless you get a good plane, there isn't much of an advantige to the generating. Making something that gives an advantige to using for example a huge, heavy plane, or one that goes slower.
Personal preference of course, I just love critiquing. Good work!

I just registered on the forum simply to vote for this game, you sicko. I love it. Custom Buildable planes would definitely be a nice touch.
Also, interesting experiment for people playing this; Try each letter of the greek alphabet (Alpha, beta, gamma) for plane names. Lots of sweet results.

yeah it's tough to think of an advantage to having a big fat plane. Unless there's some kind of cargo/bombs to carry. I just registered on the forum simply to vote for this game, you sicko. I love it. Custom Buildable planes would definitely be a nice touch. Hah that makes #2. I'm honored I would love to make a big build-a-plane system and do all sorts of transport/bombing/dogfighting missions and use the money to build more planes. Some day. For now, well, I still don't have sound...

I also signed up just to vote for your game. Features I would like to see are A place to look for the weight and others specs of the plane A speed, altitude, rate of climb, and G meter Some records I would like to see would be Best Rate of Climb in Feet per second Best Power to weight ratio Worse Power to weight ratio to Fly Lightest Plane Highest negative G force and Postive Smallest Loop Lowest stall speed Highest stall speed Heaviest plane to fly
My records
Widest Loop: fucker 712 feet Number of Loops: DSAAA 32 141 Altitude: slanteye 76920 feet Air Speed: slanteye 1519.5 knots Air Time:Saturn V 63 m 24 s Distance:Saturn V 33.1 miles Shortest Take-Off: small 57.8 feet Space Race: slanteye 2.9 s G-Force: fast2 454.8 Gs Heaviest Looper: ip 2073 lbs

Yikes.. you make it seem like my physics is full of bugs or something. Inconceivable! I'm suprised slanteye made it back to the ground. I think it hit escape velocity. And thanks for the suggestions. Some of those records are very doable. I like the power-weight ideas.

The trick is to leave going straight up then use the spacebar to flip the plane and keep it pointed up. Its all about timing and if you do it right you'll get really high. On the way back down you'll hit your top speed. The second you hit the atmosphere put up really really hard to burn off the speed and you'll get your High G force record. My flight to 70K+ feet on the way back once I hit the atmosphere took another 1.5 seconds to land it went very very fast and I was lucky to do it. I have another plane that looks like it could do a 1.5 second to space but I'm having a hard time controling it as it will start doing flips because of its COG. Please keep up on this game it is very fun.
