Also, I quite like many of the ones here yeah, we were watching that site when we were thinking in our business card, some cool ideas there... We finally went with an ACE card design, the back is the back of the card, with our logo in the place used by the brand of the deck, the front is an ace with our personal info on it... looks pretty cool...

Oh yeah, I'm curious about that too, especially if you didn't do a huge order, and the place is in Winnipeg (I'm sure I could find somewhere online, but I prefer to keep things offline when I can).

My business cards look like they are made by the most boring person in the world (they were free and you could only choose between 30 ugly designs or something) Maybe I can draw new ones on the plane... Hand drawn business card, indie soul! :D

OK, time for a survey. I made a couple of real quick designs for my personal indie card. OR Top = front, bottom = back. Which one do you find more pleasurable? Or do you hate them both? Thanks.

Which one do you find more pleasurable?
Left one looks more professional. I like the idea of the right one, though, but would not cut the face exactly at half. Any other proportion seems to be better. Try 2/3rd or 1/3rd instead?

Personally I like #2, but #3 is a bit less serious

#2. The head looks a bit too cut off in the others I think. As for me, I'm not not just bringing cards this time. I'm going in armed with pamphlets! It's going to be a long nigth printing these suckers... I'll upload some shots when I've actually got a few ready.

Hmmmmm. I don't know, I kind of like the bizareness of cutting my face down the middle. How about these, any votes? #1 #2 #3 I think it's endearing. if your angle is "small games" though, why not make everything really small? a lot of times, business cards are more about how much of a badass you are as opposed to actually giving people information. If people like you, or your card is eye-catching/unique they'll probably just search your name. You don't have a link in your sig so i just googled your name and found your games. Not that I practiced what I preach with our last round of business cards, but whatever, we don't have time to print out new ones and they work alright. check these out: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dailypoetics/sets/72057594104389710/ (most of them are graphic designers, some really famous ones in there so they go a little crazy with it) If you're more of a coder/tech guy maybe use a mono-spaced font... Just a thought.

I did two designs, but I went with the latter. I guess my title is Independent Game Developer. I love these! I braved the world of digital pre-press yesterday, so hopefully I'll have some cards by tomorrow. I'm a programmer so they aren't as exciting as the ones in this thread though I tried to avoid graphic designer tiny font syndrome, however tempted I was. I also tried to get the order right for Japanese card etiquette but on looking again, my name should come after Director, not before. Oh well Will PS: laminated!
