Hordeboss Concept Document
“Hordeboss” is a Hack and Slash Action RPG Platformer based in the Fantasy 2D world about orcs trying to regain power within the horde and outside enemies. Hordeboss has single player, co-op and multiplayer modes that will include PVE and PVP elements with a lot of randomness. There are three unique characteristics in Hordeboss game. First, it has beautifully written storyline that has philosophical context and well written dialogues, character interactions, written plot. Second unique characteristic is a high production value, so it will have great quality pictures, animation and special effects, responsive interface, atmospheric music and special sounds. Third, is a gameplay that will include switching between one to three heroes that player controls to make combinations of the skills in order successfully finish level or defeat Boss.
Vision Document About the game “Hordeboss” is a Hack and Slash Action RPG Platformer based in the Fantasy 2D world about orcs trying to regain power within fantasy world of Zahovar. The horde has gotten weak, through years of fighting for domination not only with outside enemies but their own clans as well. Karzul, the supreme shaman wants to put the end on that, and collects souls of fallen horde leaders, in order to unite horde and conquer enemies. Game has endless, dynamic and fast gameplay that has classical style of a slasher. Right now there are three orc classes: warrior, shaman and archer that we have in development. (Each hero will have customization in order to make each player’s hero unique.) Lots of enemies, skills, coins and points will face the player throughout the levels. Random elements are a must in the game in terms of fight outcomes, loot and completion of the game. Hordeboss has single player (currently need to finish only single player), co-op and multiplayer modes that will include PVE and PVP elements. PVE will have not only endless killing monsters to gain loot throughout the level, but also different bosses for which will be needed tactics and experience of the game that a player will get gradually through the game time and levels. PVE co-op and multiplayer modes will have special Raid bosses that will have 3-4 stages of killing the Boss. PVP content will include the ancient arena, one of the oldest traditions of the Horde, where the best orcs of each tribe fight for the loot and lands. We are not sure yet if PVP is going be synchronous or asynchronous. There are three unique characteristics in Hordeboss game. First two levels are going be introductory, demo game, where player learns the basics of the game. Each player must complete them. The story starts with an Orc Shaman, Karzul. Shaman with an anger wants to revenge to everybody who was killing orcs. He has an artifact which resurrects dead orcs that keeps their souls inside. Shaman is exploring the world where he is in search of the best Heroes, orcs, whose names everybody knows, so he could collect them and put them into his amulet in order to control them. Once you collected the hero orc, player will be able to switch to this hero. Here is the main unique characteristic of the game that a player should master.
