Well, the "Flying Dutchman" was more conveying a pirate-ish background, but I couldn't find the proper font to make the title look cool  Durr...?
Hence I changed it , uhuh.

Here's a small update. I need to do something with these sad and boring colors !

Work in progress screenshots : I'm coding the enemies right now. For now it spawns shitload of boats behind the player, at a dramatic pace of 1 enemy per frame.

Some shots :

Tomorrow, I'll write the enemies motion, and other stuff (IA, maybe ?)

I like the color palette. I think you should keep it as it's quite unique and fits the style.

Polishing some ambiant occlusion textures. Then I'll paint this in a "Zelda Windwaker" style, with Modo, I think.

Yup, I think it looks better with some nice ambiant occlusion, though it doesn't make a game Smiley

In the meantime, there's been some progress on the enemies, they move now, get hit, and sink in the sea.

Still a long wayyy to go Smiley

Yep, Luxology Modo, fantastic package from by the former creators of Lightwave.
It brings an amazing module to paint directly on your meshes in 3D, with almost the same tools as photoshop.

Hey everyone !!

Here's a small update. Some playability teaks, and a draft GUI..

TO PLAY THE DEMO, read below

  • Download & unzip
  • install OpenAL
  • install VC Redist 2008
  • Click on Start.bat

I included all you need in the archive.

Right click here to download the demo.

Press spacebar on the title screen to launch the game.
In game controls : <- and -> to control the aim, CTRL to shoot boulders.

That's all.
Can't wait this week end for the final rush Smiley

Yes, I got your mail. Thanks for your feedback.
Unfortunatelly, I can't find a way to make the engine work on a PC with a graphic driver from 2004 Sad

Only thing I could suggest would be to find a more recent driver. Could fix the issue.
Or not.
