We're looking for an experienced UI artist/designer for our game, An Oath to the Stars. The game is a mecha-anime Danmaku SHMUP inspired by Dodonpachi, Progear and Ikaruga.
The game has already been Greenlit on Steam and we've shown it at a couple of conventions with pretty good response. We're about 80% in development. You can find more info about the project, including concept arts and dev updates, here:
http://himekigames.tumblr.com/It would be great if you know the genre and played Ikaruga, Dodonpachi, Death Smiles etc and be good at them. This is not strictly necessary though.
You'll be asked to improve the current in-game UI and improve UX by communicating certain info to the player.
You'll also work on Menus, modal screens etc.

http://himekigames.tumblr.com/I'll be implementing the UI in the game and connect with game logic, but an understanding of the system would be greatly appreciated, especially in regards to different screen size scaling.
To recap:
- You should have proven experience in the role and a portfolio of published games.
- You must be able to keep the existing style of the game.
- You should have experience working with Unity3D. We're using uGUI for the game.
- You should be aware of all the different implications of designing UI for different systems and screen sizes.
