Did some pretty heavy playtesting for Rex Rocket today. Intense stuff, man!


I have a quiet appreciation for this little room, which always surprises me. OH CRAP, RUN!


This gauntlet of acid-floor rooms are just pure evil. You'll see what I mean someday soon.


The robosuit is pure Metal Slug, I love it.


This guy is my new favorite boss.


Electro-bot heals if you shoot him at the wrong time, it's a really fun mechanic to avoid.

Dude, that bloom has got to go. I don't even know how you can stand it. I have to squint and look away every single time. You're alienating a good percentage of possible followers for what looks like an interesting game with that useless aesthetic.

what he said. if youre trying to like... replicate screen glare there is a reason we created flat screens. its because screen glare is bullshit.

All I'm saying is, it's a cosmetic aesthetic that, not only doesn't benefit the gameplay experience directly but, it harms it. Just looking at the still images is painful, I couldn't imagine sitting and playing it. Blink Blink

You have this really cool monochrome pixel art with lots of dithering that I would like to see more of personally. Even for marketing purposes , I think you should dumb down the screen glare since it is one of those obscure things that only appeal to a niche part of your audience for the sake of the nostalgia factor.

The nostalgia isn't worth the eye strain or the loss of building a potentially larger audience for your creation.

Things that are unarguably bad:

1. holocaust
2. 9/11
3. cancer
4. excessive bloom
5. people who think excessive bloom is good
