Introduction~

Hello everyone, my name is Collin "Daikichi" Kindred, and I handle the narrative design and direction on Project AURA. AURA is something that aims to transcend the common assumptions of what a game can be, and it does this by creating an experience that touches and inspires the player on a deep, meaningful level. Notable games that have accomplished such a feat include SCE1's Shadow of The Colossus and thatgamecompany's Journey.
Because of its unprecedented nature, Project AURA requires visionary developers with exceptional passion and a strong desire to create expressive experiences. If you are such an individual, then we here at Project AURA would love to have you.

The Game~

Project AURA is a 180 to 210 minute-long experience that targets the PC as its primary platform. While middleware solution/s have yet to be chosen for the final product, we are using the Unity engine for prototyping.

Plot~

When the game begins, the player finds themself in a dead world, and are tasked with dispatching wells of corruptive energy to restore life to the land. As the game progresses, the player will gradually uncover past events, learning how the world came to die, and how they themselves came to be. All before making the necessary sacrifice to resurrect the world.

Design Elements~

AURA incorporates minimalism in its designs; using a combination of simplified gameplay and open narrative components to create a broadly-accessible, interpretive experience.

Development~

Due to the delicate nature of minimalism, Project AURA requires extensive prototyping prior to the production stage.

The Current Team~

Dexter - Dexter is our primary programmer (Focus in C++), who is dedicated to creating experimental systems and ensuring that the vision of our artists and designers can be reached. [One year game project experience]

Harriet Madan - Harri is our lead artist, and she helps with dictating the appearance of the game, as well as giving shape and form to complex expressions. [Two years digital art experience for graphic novels and theatre, about eleven years traditional art experience]

Collin Kindred - (That's me!) Collin is the narrative designer and director, and he's responsible for the preliminary vision for the game. He also handles the structure of the story, and works on designing and directing the various game elements to forge a coherent experience that invokes both emotion and thought. [Four years game project experience]
