Been following this thread for a while now but haven't gotten around to posting.
Just wanted to say the game looks great, and I think the concept is pretty cool too, looking forward to playing this one when it's finished, best of luck Ashkin!

Implemented locks. If you have a key with you, they will open when you approach, permitting you to go through the indestructible wall. As you can see, I also implemented an arrow- it first points to the key on the level, then turns gold once you have the key and points towards the lock.


Vending machine/shop mockup. Includes purchasable batteries, bombs, and upgrades, as well as some slots if you feel lucky.

Honestly, with exams coming up and me just starting work on a new, smaller game, probably at least a month until I start work on this again. Then I just need to make the vendor fully functional, add gold veins, and add transitions between biomes. I could release a demo then. After that, I'd work on obstacles, the end, menu stuff, and polish. Then I could release. That's the plan, anyway.
