Thanks Juggler.
Eric, I am doing all that I possibly can to make more viking games, one iPod at a time (and hopefully some other platforms as well).

A ton of work has gone into the most recent build. Allot of stuff works but allot is just placeholder - you know, game dev is happening... here are some screens: and here's some more doodles. SWEAR I'M GONNA COLOR SOME OF THEM WHEN I GET TIME. After all the hard work is done. Werd?

I love how the Viking's beard looks like fire, it makes it look like a projectile on fire. Great style. Oh and Word bubbles without words are the best.

looking good, but I think the sword needs to moved to laying across the top of the screen. it seems in the way of your excellent boat art, and if its pointitng to the right it might help to give a sense of movement to the scene almost pointing the player where to shoot.

Thanks for the compliments on the art. (^___^)
I'd like to get Ben to screen grab a video. currently the only vid up is a week old and I'd like to show something more current (as that's half the dev life of this game at this point).
Jason - great point about the sword. I'll experiment with it a bit. I don't want it on the top center because that's the center of most catapult arcs. I was thinking about downsizing the sword a bit and moving it up a tad. Either way, you're right that it's not in a great location right now.

Firstly Very cool body types that fit your style of art perfectly, I also like the clouds that dont look like clouds in the traditional sense. 1 suggestion that I have is that the player should have a limited means of propelling the Viking after the initial launch like poking him on the screen or something along those lines.
either way its looking great!

Looking very very naice fellas. Not only the pixel work but the grayscale concept art. From those last screenshots, it looks like it might even be a decent game hehe Check out CamStudio if you wanna show us some motion. I wanna see how smooth the movement of that boat is so far.

Perceptic - most definately. We're going to have an upgradable crow's nest that has a rockthrower (upgrades to an archer, then to a mage). He'll give you a bump at the cost of one of your heart.

Looks pretty good, but kinda slow, is that just the recording software or is it actually slow like that?
