Working on a set of "point item" game assets. Here's a test render for one of the assets.

Made a quick little minimalist character animation.

A really quick way to improve that animation is to alternate the arms and legs, so when left arm is forward, left leg goes back and vice versa Smiley

I like the use of non-standard outlining color, but I think it could be improved if you incorporated the model color into the outline color. Something like ramping up the brightness of the model color to use as the outline color would work well.

I personally think that outline color looks perfect, actually.

Working out visual concepts for a relaxing/meditative fishing game. Hoping to get islands generated individually for each game. Personal small islands for everyone!

I did a bunch of retroish fishes a while back, they had quite a honorable success on thumblr so you might have seen'em back then.
There are a few more, see the whole thing ❀here❀.

In this image.

How did you make the light when it hits the pillar banded/pixel perfect edges. I hate the Unity shadow filtering and would like it be be stencil/polygonal like that.

I simply used the toon shader with a custom ramp (it looks like this : http://i.snag.gy/fuhwE.jpg).
I use it all the time now that I got it working, this shader is pretty flexible. Ive also been told you can do whatever you want with the bumped specular shader, but I never tried it myself.

Third day of character practice. I'm trying to nail ultra-low poly fundamentals before moving on. How does the edge flow of this one look, guys?

Palm toward the ground works better for low poly, because it's more natural when you lower the hand and avoid candy wrap when you want to lay them on the hip, most action are no too far from this configuration. Especially if you have 1bones weight

Awesome, thanks! I'm still pretty new to this, but I could definitely see how that would help when it comes to skinning.
