Owl Cave, the independent developer responsible for the
critically acclaimed adventure game
Richard & Alice, is seeking a 2D artist/animator to help out on its next project.
Working with low-resolution pixel art, you must be a talented artist with a sense of style, and be able to work quickly and with minimal resources to create something striking, memorable and beautiful. The game is a side-scrolling adventure rendered at 320x200 resolution. As the project is unannounced and in the early stages of production, we can't post screenshots on this thread, but interested parties can have a look at what we've been up to so far.
We need:
- One horizontally-extending (extending considerably beyond the bounds of the 320-wide screen) outdoor environment (field with stream, leading up to a house)
- One indoor environment (living room of house)
- Two characters with L/R walk-cycles, one of whom also needs a rear view 'interact' animation.
Please email
lewis[at]owlcave[dot]net with your best estimate of pricing and duration. Please also send through relevant portfolio samples. Please also make clear whether you are an environment artist, character artist/animator, or both.
