Devlogs, Feedback or Announcements would be the better sub-forum for this. Unless you're selling hot dogs.

I'm guessing the hot dogs thing is some inside joke to refer to people who's work is too commercial looking to be accepted as indie

Nah, it's slang for spam around here, but your post doesn't seem to be spam, so I'm not sure what people are on about...

Your game looks good and has a nice style, but without even a video or a hint at the actual content outside of a description, it's tricky to get excited about it.
Should probably also change the name of the first post to the name of the game, and people might be more interested, now that the thread is in the right subforum

Yes I agree, it would be nice to see a video footage.

I didn't know what hot dogs were when I commented, and was really just excited about the thought of eating a hot dog. But as said above, there isn't much info, so there's not much to say. I'm interested in following the development of games, maybe you should start a devlog here?

Yeah, fair enough, it's hard for me to show this game off properly since I don't really have any gameplay footage, it's just a friend and myself working on it, I do the art and animation, which is all finished, but my friend still needs another week or so to program it into something that looks good (he leaves things like animation implementation to last)
I'll be remaking this mailing list site when I have something better to show, but for now I just really need people to show they are interested in the game, even if its just based on this one screenshot, so that I can potentially get some payments from the government (dole) while I work on this. So yeah, I know people don't like it when others aren't allowing/accepting criticism, I do normally post devlogs here when I want help with games, but right now it wouldn't be any help to me, not on this particular project

hokay, I finally have a little video to show, It's been nice returning to work on this after being stuck in little Dragon for so long,
It doesn't really show the game-play, mainly just the basic look and feel while demonstrating the functionality we've got coded so far
Will post again soon hopefully with more exciting stuff

Now that I'm a bit more familiar with this forum I don't know why I put this in Announcements

no, the grass in this level is quite blue though, it contrasts with the game objects / player better like that

You've also got blue fog, which gives the atmosphere volume and along with the blueish ground makes it look a lot like an underwater scene...
