EDIT:  There is now a full version of the game to download here:  http://www.ultimate-nerds.com/archives/390

This is a game where you play as a series of people flying a speeding jetpack while fighting aliens.

Essentially, a new jetpack has been invented to fight off the aliens which grants its wearer super powers.  However, it was calibrated wrong.  Now it won't stop and it's wearers can only withstand it's effects for a short amount of time.  Therefore they must use the jetpack's fast swapping feature to transfer the jetpack to other people by flying into them.

You can find it here

Feedback would be appreciated, thanks.  Coffee

Nice, I like the retro graphic on the characters. The concept is interesting, needs improved. You forgot to reset score after game Gentleman

Have you considered allowing the player to move horizontally?  Usually the player tries to hang near the back of the screen in these types of games, but more options are always good.

Also, a little more attention to visual detail would go a long way.  The game would look a lot better with just some simple clouds scrolling past in the background.  Going a bit farther, the aliens look stiff.  It doesn't look right for the noodley tentacles of a creature soaring through the skies at high speeds to be perfectly still.

The concept is good.  I think adding a greater variety in player characters would be nice.

I've uploaded a new version with quite a few changes.

There is now a scrolling background, the player can now change speed and there are more characters.  There are also some other small tweaks.
