AAH! That thing was awesome! I actually loved that game, but the ending wasn't as cool as it could have been That is certainly true. Gotta love the robodog, though. And the great atmosphere (which is partially because of the great soundtrack)

Not sure if anyone would know this one, but one of the most interesting boss battles I have encountered was the ending to the Famicom Disk System version of Eggerland Mystery. (Adventures of Lolo series) After an entire game of block pushing puzzles, you are treated to a tongue-in-cheek Dragon Warrior old school style RPG battle against "The Great Devil", who has Princess Lala captive. Incidentally, Satoru Iwata, the current president of Nintendo, was the director of this game.

I thought Magus was cool until I saw the concept drawings of him (well, pretty much goes for all the awful Chrono Trigger character art) brought to you by the creator of dragon ballz

Lovely thread. Mine (it's all about Capcom for me when it comes to bosses): Someone over fed the fish again in Resi... Shudder: Jo, Dead Rising DMC4, this guy's toe is as big as you: And the connoisseur's choice, the boss of boss, I was almost tempted to post a pic of my boss too - we battle all the time

AAH! That thing was awesome! I actually loved that game, but the ending wasn't as cool as it could have been Frog was cool! FROG WAS COOL! Okay, I'll give you that one but every time I see Chrono's nose, or the retarded eyes on Marle, I just pretend it never happened (because their pictures in my head invoked by the beautiful pixel art was so much better :D) Yeah, I definitely had kind of a wtf moment when I first saw the anime versions of the characters. The SNES version is definitive in my book.

Really? Part of what I didn't like about Chrono Trigger was the fact that you could still see the stupid Dragon Ball art design, even with 16-bit graphics. Also, more Ecco: Lots of crazy boss design in Ecco.

I love Shadow of the Collosus, but my favorite boss is: It's just so awesome to fight . Of course, most of the bosses were brilliant in that game, in my opinion. The last one is incredibly epic too but I'd not like to spoil it for anyone. Oh, man! That had to be the best Colossus.

Is that really in the game? Yup. It's just fan art. Shadow of the Colossus is a game, and Patapon is a GREAT game, but someone just mixed them and did a fan art.

The robot is actually a boss in the game, though.

Flying snake was probably one of my least favorite colossi. The mini-colossi, the burrowing snake, and the bird were my favorites, personally.

Yup. He wasn't quite so big, though, if I remember correctly. I should I got stuck on him. The flying snake was my favorite colossus too, for sure. I don't think there's a video game that has nailed my EPIC button quite so hard as that boss fight did. I was actually pretty disappointed in the final one, though I thought it was one of the least cool ones, and after fighting all the others my hopes were really high.

Yeah... I was really disappointed in the last one, too. It could have been more epic, but the ending itself was pretty amazing.

The Arc Demon isn't really a boss, more of a supporter of the boss, but it's badass. Oh yeah, it's the one with the pitch fork, the purple one.

The most recent boss I've encountered is
It's a good boss, better than most of the others in the game so far in my opinion.
