I'm fiddling with tweening UV offsets on a sphere to create explosion effects. It's kind of a hassle to get it looking decent, but It's getting there. I might need to try some other meshes then the default sphere, or maybe even animate a mesh. But I'd prefer it if I wouldn't have to open a 3d modeling package at all. In the end I might switch back to pure sprite based explosions, but I'm going to do some more exploring to see what 3d can bring to the table.

Thanks. I'm using default unity particles + LeanTween to handle the mesh scaling etc.

Cheers man. Here's another one: I want some events to draw focus, for example when landing a killing blow to an enemy. Gonna be really juicy.

Both the explosions and the lens flair thingy are amazing, and far beyond anything I could make.

As I mentioned in the devlog video, we spent our first 3 days making a prototype, that we would use as a base to build the game upon. Last week we had a playtest session at Q42 in Amsterdam. Lot's of people played the game, and it turns out the game is pretty fun to play AND watch. It feels great to see so many people enjoying your game. At least now we've confirmed that the base gameplay is fun! People even came up and asked if they could have an alpha build to play at home. Now that's a good sign right there!

I keep reading the title as Intergalactic Road Warriors. Other than that everything looks awesome.

Thanks guys. <3 Meanwhile I've whipped up a W.I.P. logo for the game: I have to say the name of the game is really breaking my balls. I don't know what the final title will be, but the logo is gonna be styled this way. :p Oh and we wrote another devlog: http://blog.turtleblaze.com/post/132601579044/dev-log-2
