Introduction:
So I've made game engines with construct for a while, but construct seemed horrible to me. You had to work around a lot of stuff, and it was really slow to work with. So I tried out game maker and I already like it much more. I'm also new on the forums... hello Tongue
I never really got to the 'make a level' part yet, so I wanted to make a really simple game. Any newbie tips on game maker is apreciated.

Gameplay:
It's basically a 2d platformer puzzle game about pushing blocks to get to the end of the level... pretty simple.
The sand you can dig away if you stand on top. the gold block is the block you need for the end of the level(it's heavy so you can't lift or pull it) and the sponge looking block, you can push AND dig.

(The game runs with half fps in the gif  WTF I don't know how to fix it)

Visuals:
The game has a pixelated style with 320x180 res, and takes place in an ancient pyramid, with lots of treasure and gold.

I don't know if I should make the game run in 60 fps or 30. I'm totally new to game maker Shrug

I started working on the game 28th of december.
