your hip and shoulder ball joints need to be kept much stiffer and your spine needs to be much more involved in the motion of bringing your limbs forward. it's probably very difficult to emulate the movement of an animal with such drastically different anatomy in general though.
Thank you for the reference. Clearly he's not the best lizard out there, but we did this as a test of sorts. We create all combat animations for humans with rotoscoping and we wanted to see what we can do for beasts. This is how we will try to use it:

A 2 day racer prototype in Godot: Most of the stuff taken from Godot demos. The buildings are models I had on my HDD for ages. The red thing is a procedural mesh and so are the road pieces and the ground plane.
