Doet. It'll get more people interested in polishing up and adding more graphics to IB.

Yeah I'd need a version that only has stages and characters that are working properly...

Yeah, it'd be great to show the game to more folks; maybe we'd get some more people interested in building it. Currently, things are at a lull (schools started up for a lot of us), and lulls are pretty dangerous for community projects.

Winnitron and Indie Brawl seem like a perfect match! It shouldn't take much work to make a Winnitron version. When do you need it?

I think the earliest date we're going to show the Winnitron to the public may be November 6th. It's at a career day thing for kids in Winnipeg. The Manitoba Pork Packing Counsel and some big call center place are there... and INDIE GAMES. So, the cooler the games part, the more hilarious the contrast will be. Then I think on the 17th we'll be doing a talk about it at a hipstery book store and food place. December 4 is a chiptunes party, the Winnitron will be there for that. Random: what do you guys use for player 2 key bindings, we still haven't locked those down yet.

They can be set to anything, but by default they are WASD for movement, G to attack and H to use a special.

This is a great idea. I'm thinking of doing something similar, but for a specific game I'm making.

The Winnitron game jam is happening right now! If you guys wanted to hack up a build for us, that'd be cool. http://infiniteammo.ca/winnitron/docs/TheWinnitronStandard.pdfBasically just getting the keys right would be the main thing to start. Hiding stuff that isn't finished yet would be cool too. (Is it possible to configure the keys in the latest build?)edit: Gonna try using the current build on the machine for now

I'll try to get a build out by the end of the day.
By the way, does anyone have time to create some simple guarding sprites for the 6 completed characters?

Update: the game is super awesome on the Winnitron It's gotten about an hour and a half of play time so far, according to our logs. The longest time logged on a Winnitron game so far.

The crew will be setting up the Winnitron tonight for a career day thing tomorrow. Hopefully we'll get some video from it, I'm guessing Indie Brawl will be a big hit with the kids.

Hells yeah, this is awesome! One more reason on the list to visit Winnipeg some day. I'd love to see a video of you guys playing IB on the Winnitron, it seems like a perfect match.

Hmm, Winnitron build doesn't seem to start up in full screen... (1024x768 windowed?)
Is there any way to change this?

Add this line to the settings file, if it isn't there already: You can also toggle between full-screen and windowed mode with F4.

Cool, I'll try that out. The Winnitron is currently chilling in my apartment. We didn't get as many kids by as we hoped on Saturday, but I played some good rounds of Indie Brawl with a few of 'em. The game has come a long way, it is really easy/fun to pick up and play. We have some footage of people playing, hopefully Kert will get that up sometime in the near future. ^ new menu system, WIP (description and stuff isn't accurate yet) We'll be adding tags to show which games are multiplayer, etc. Couple of minor issues: - Character select screen seemed to be a bit weird for movement/selection (in some cases the selector seemed to jump to the wrong character?) - When the game ends, it should probably pause for a bit on the "winner" screen. Everyone is mashing right near the end of a battle, so the "winner" screen tends to get skipped over in an instant, and suddenly you're back a the menu and a bit confused.
