The levels with # is frustrating.
Maybe you should decrease their speed the more the player "dies"?

#-levels have to be the most challenging ones (since that part of conversation is the most challenging one) but I realize I have made these way too hard. The game is being ported to Flash so that should be fixed.

Oh good cause I was going to ask if it worked in Vista, seeing as how I couldn't get it to.

I can't get the game (and it's predecessor) to work. I need Runtime 7. DELETE IT!

Huh, well that was certainly an...interesting story. I liked how the gameplay matched the various emotions, though. Now I should go back and play the first one.

It is Vista-compatible, not sure why you couldn't get it to work.
@Reecer6: Runtime 7?

If it's good to know, Steam refuses to run on this user account as well, due to some bullshit about a Microsoft C++ Redistributable. (Which I never installed. Ever. At all.)

Was this game made in Construct? Because it seems all games made in Construct refuse to run on my computer, giving that exact same error. And yes I have the latest DirectX. I got it straight from Microsoft. I wouldn't be so annoyed and would just give up except Construct is getting increasingly popular and it seems programmed against using my machine. Could someone who got this to run in Vista tell me if they have anything specifically turned on/off? Like some weird compatibility settings or aero features or something? Did anyone not running an Intel chip play this? (I'm using an AMD64x2) Help? Please?

I got it to work just fine with Vista, I just quickloaded it using GameBolt and it ran without a hitch.

Okay, I figured out the problem by searching the Construct forums. OK I had construct (the RICH Build) installed in the default directory. all the plugins are located in C:\Program Files\Scirra\Construct\Plugins\ and end with .csx (998) at the end. [...] Then construct starts and you can use any but those plugins. DEP can be enabled and disabled easily. I just did it on my computer to get this list. So if you guys need to you could always toggle it and test things out.
Those are all the plugins written in Visual C++ 6.0. Perhaps there's a setting wrong or it's just incompatible (it was made long before anything like DEP existed). All the plugins and behaviors made in Visual Studio 2005 or later don't appear on the list...So yeah, turning off DEP made it run. Yay.

Haha, awesome! Thanks Hempuli! @Shade Jackrabbit: I have no idea what you did to get it running (turning off DEP?), but it's good to hear you solved the problem.

Oooooh, incest.
Nice one, like it's been said it's interesting how you matched the levels with the emotions of the character.

Now that I've played through it, I want to say that you did quite a great job at... er... "hiding" what was really going on with gameplay elements. It was pretty satisfying to play cause it actually felt like the gameplay was important to the plot.
