Hello TigSource! Just wanted to share with you the progress I've made on my upcoming iOS game, Dinofour.

Dinofour is retro-styled, platformer/puzzle game.
Play as four Dinosaur pals, each with their own unique special ability they must use to solve a series of challenging puzzles. Work together to overcome obstacles, defeat enemies and become reunited with your beloved lost eggs.

The final release will have over 70 levels spanning over 3 worlds.

I don't know how or if you can embed videos, but

Just a quick update before Christmas!

We have now got some very talented sound designers working on the game. The sound effects are fantastic and I can't wait to release another gameplay video once they are implemented.

Meanwhile, you can see a very short video the the game running on an iPhone here: http://instagram.com/p/wz53W8DI7x

I'm happy to announce Dinofour will now also be released for PC and Android devices, however no release date has been set for either platform.

Green Dino reaches his beloved lost egg!

Also I've added a few more puzzle blocks and enemies, like this badass skull:

That's all for now. I hope you all have a very merry Christmas and a safe and happy new year!  Beer!

Lovely pixel art, and you did a good job with the trailer. The gameplay reminds me a little of The Lost Vikings (assuming that the player can swap between those dinosaurs). Good luck with it!  Smiley

Thanks falafel!  Hand Shake Left Smiley Hand Shake Right I love The Lost Vikings! A few people have made that comparison now. The gameplay in this is a little different as you have to physically reach the other dinos in order to change places with them, but the overall concept is basically the same.

I've had the very talented Joshua Cohen working hard on the music for this game. I'm starting to get some tracks back from him and am in the process of implementing them into the game. What I've heard is absolutely fantastic and I can't wait to show you guys his work.

As for the overall progress of the project, I'd say it's about 75% complete. I have to design another 15 or so levels and then begin what will likely be a long and tedious polishing/bug testing process.

Dino switching action!

I would also love to get the opinions of anyone that perhaps has an app on iTunes or knows anything about marketing. What is the most effective form of paid advertising/marketing for someone on a rather limited budget?

Also any opinions on which one of these icons you prefer would be highly appreciated.

Hello friends!

It's been a while since I've posted to this blog, so I thought I'd drop by and share a short game play video and quick update on progress.

The good news: The game is pretty much complete. The bad news: It needs some serious polishing before I send it off to Apple for review.

The really bad news is I have absolutely no idea about how to monetize & market an app. So any advice, ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated in this area.
Other than that, I really only need to fix a few minor bugs and implement game center features like achievements, ect. before the game is ready to submit.

Here is gameplay footage from the first tutorial level that explains Green Dino's special ability and how to use it to move boulders and activate switches. Sorry the video is a little laggy. I used screen capture software that I didn't pay very much money for.

This particular video really doesn't showcase many of the apps features, so if you haven't already please check out the Dinofour trailer

Orange Dino incinerating a hog. Adorable.

Dinofour running on the iPhone family.

Any feedback, comments, suggestions and ideas are GREATLY appreciated. Any please don't hesitate to ask any questions.

Hopefully next time I update this blog it will be after the app is reviewed by Apple!
