Sadly this is something that needs a tut, and isn't just pressing a button.









That will be all gentlemen.  Sketchup has its own broken logic that I can't explain technically, tell which parts make the least sense.

EDIT: Just reread it, it's pretty awfully written, but if you open up Sketchup and work alongside it you should be fine.

That method leaves you with a mesh you can't edit further.  Within the actual sketchup editor you can't edit that mesh because its all smoothed.

IIRC there are no "true" curved surfaces in sketchup, some just appear curved because of they way they are treated in lighting. Often (as in this case) they get buried as hidden surfaces though, so it is a bit of a hastle to edit the underlying mesh.

There must be a ruby script that makes spheres.
