There's a leap hour between 2:00 am and 2:00 am on 30th October during daylight saving time shift. Let's use that! Website:http://0hgame.eu/

Superb idea! But you didn't specify any rules about timezones, so does that mean in theory that people have 24h?

Totally in Are we allowed to take the plane from timezones to timezones before the 0h end ? That would rock.

Could be fun, hopefully it won't be taking place at some crazy hour at night in Australia (too lazy to look it up now).

I hate these timezone jams, I never know when they are, or for how long.

I think Sos is european, so if we go by that timezone, the contest begins :
Mainland Europe (02:00 DST local time) UK (-1 hour -- 01:00 DST local time) East US (-6 hours -- 20:00 DST local time) West US (-9 hours -- 17:00 DST local time) Australia (clocks don't go back, but it'll be in the morning on Sunday, about 9:00 local time)
In Eastern Europe / Russia / Asia, the contest takes place at an unreasonable hour.
NO NO NO NO NO!The DST shift is 2:00 a.m. in every timezone. Just look up your local DST settings!

This is an awesome idea, but I'm throwing a Halloween party on the 29th so I expect to still be drinking and incapable of safely operating a computer for the duration of the competition.

Are we to use our own local DST switchover hour? So countries won't take part simultaneously?
That how I understand it, all the fun of this is to do a game in 0 hour, not juste one hour of the day. A game on which you virtually didn't spend any time And with the different timezones, the jam will be up for 24h, so during the day we'll be able to follow the others who are in another area of the planet and currently jamming.

We used to have DST here, before we fucked Mubarak up. Now I can't make 0h games, I'm starting to regret the revolution.

I have a flight to the States that night. Wonder if being a time traveling wizard will help.

I hacked together a website! http://0hgame.eu/Also, He also thinks that atoms are actually miniature star systems. So that reality has a fractal structure with an infinite depth of detail in both directions of scale.
this is a pretty awesome theory.
