You have so much more to live for! Well, not in this game. Yet... Maybe an update will give you more to fight for? GUNMAN 2009-12-22-added aliens with AI -added mines -changed blimps so they can drop anything -added lava -added lighting effects on lava

This is so awesome.
The mines seem big. Took a while to get the first jump, it doesn't look like you can make it. How does it look when you slow the lava down a little?
I love the alien's AI.

WHEEEOO. I was having fun finishing the levels at first, but then it just got to be a grind. Yikes. I hope this game works for everyone. There are still a bunch of kinks in Construct that i couldn't work out.
Also, in tribute to JRHill's experience with the game, there's a secret at the end. Hope some people can make it.

I was on the title screen and pressed Z, then the game crashed. It said "and unexpected error occurred, etc etc etc.... The older builds worked fine.

Aw, really? It works fine for me. I'm not sure what i should change. Construct is a temperamental beast. I couldn't even begin to figure out what's wrong with it then. I don't suppose that error has more details?

I love this thing. Your enemies are terrifying. It made me think about the fragility of flesh.
I also very much enjoy your sound effects, on both ends of the development stick.

*SIGH* Here's a list of known issues that i can't fix because they seem to be a problem with Construct: -jumping from and onto platforms is incredibly and frustratingly temperamental -the music sounds different everytime the level restarts -lava loses it's red glow the first time a player dies But, i'm going to try a new version of Construct to see if that fixes anything. It might very well change the entire game. Who knows. Also, i'm going to continue developing this game because i have more ideas for levels. Stay tuned.

Talk about Nintendo-Hard. Still, it's got a pretty awesome feel to it. For the most part the gameplay works very well, if a bit sadistically. When you get to moving platforms, though, things just get frustrating. It simply doesn't register collisions properly on them. Also, does one of the songs sound like something out of Battletoads? Cause it's VERY fitting. Put some more checkpoints at least. It was still fun while I managed to progress, and the graphical effect is a nice touch.

Thanks for all the feedback! Yeah, i was wondering about the difficulty. I'm a huge fan of tough platformers like I Wanna Be the Guy and MoneySeize, etc, so i kinda made the difficulty to my liking. Which may or may not be a good thing. Anyways, i made a new build and added a couple more checkpoints to make it a bit easier. I think I can help with the sound issue -- try clicking on the Audio object, then uncheck the 'Limiter Enabled' option near the bottom of the left sidebar. I have no idea about the other things, but Construct is pretty glitchy in my experience so... yeah. I wish I could say more, but I'm kinda stuck at the fourth screen. (I'm a fan of the gradient, btw. Especially the way the gun flash effects it.) I tried your Limiter idea, didn't change a thing. I really like the way Construct works, and i find i'm incredibly productive in it, but for the amount of polish i want, it won't work. This game is hard! I died like 15 times on the second screen alone, lol.

Well I like the hard version, I just haven't had the time to beat it yet. EDIT: The second time I got spawned on this screen (on the hard version) it spawned me off the map. You can see my x position by where the monsters are grouped, but I'm not sure if I'm above or below...

Weird. I'm not sure there's a whole lot i can do about that. It's one of many glitches in Construct itself. Did you try hitting R to force a reload? I suppose i could code in a workaround of some sort.

I've posted a bug tracker item for the platform issue. Not much you can do about it now without a hacky workaround . Heh, beta software. Gotta love it. Anyway I already ranted on the Scirra forum about how hard this game is, so you already know what I think Oh, what the hell...
