Tower Defense Offense Part 2More concept art! Done with constructing their giant, bipedal, festive war machine, the villagers form a brigade and march on the Yokai lair! See last week's post for a look at how they constructed this awesome portable shrine of Yokai destruction.

Bipedal Festive Robot Fight! Here's a concept of a more end-game mechanic: the ability to build offensive controllable robots to rain destruction upon advanced Yokai dens! These represent the ultimate in portable tower offense. Built to take on the ever-escalating Yokai threat, they rain righteous festive destruction upon their enemies! Bipedal festive war autobot, oops I mean robot, FIGHT!

Nothing like a good soakModeled after the hot springs (温泉) of Japan, rejuvenate your villagers before the next Yokai invasion or find common ground with an enemy by building one of these in your town! This is one of the many uses of tapping the hot springs resources surrounding your village, and will function as a hub to gather intel, a moral booster for your town, and an easy way to restore your HP after a long adventure!

The Doom Train of HellWhen traveling between the 4 Hells, why walk when you can take the Train of Doom? This is just one of the many "conveniences" Hell has to offer the weary traveler. A Credible Tale not only features an expansive overworld, but a cavernous underworld as well. There will be 4 unique levels of Hell based on Japanese mythology (cold, hot, war, famine) to explore. Each will be full of enemies and even potential allies. Will you strike a deal with the devil himself to defeat the Yokai?

Put in a new power attack that you can tactically use to slam your enemies into other objects (or enemies). Filling your charge bar all the way does the greatest amount of damage and has the most potent effect:

Two new scenes I've been working on lately to showcase some of the more hidden elements of this game. The first is an Onsen (Japanese hot spring) that you can find throughout the game world. These will replenish your stats and can be piped back to your town as a power source or to enable building a bathhouse to raise the morale of your villagers. The second one is showing off a 人魂 (a soul) that you can find hidden in caverns or off the beaten path. These can be friendly or not so friendly, so be careful when approaching them
