The Goemon games(Mystical Ninja and Goemon's Great Adventure) were some of the best games I'd ever played on the nintendo 64 and noone has ever heard of them. I don't know if it would be considered as indie but it's definitely underground. Anybody who's played it knows that the impact battles were the shit.

I thought it was spelled "Geomon," but I have no idea what that means anyway so I guess it doesn't matter. I remember playing The Legend of the Mystical Ninja for Snes when I was a kid. Favorite game ever. Still one of my favorite games ever. There were some hilarious translation problems in it; I don't remember what they were though. I should replay it again... Anyway DIE, NAKED FISH-GUY!

"WATCH OUT FOR THE UMBRELLA ROBOT. HE WILL STEAL YOUR PIZZA OR YOUR BURGER."
Hahahahaha! So many memories just flooded back to me!
Rampaging through town, hitting everyone and everything with a special ninjapipe... Good times!
I'm pretty sure that was the only one that was ever released in the US, though...

I got really pissed off at those fish guys and the rest of the townspeople. Why the hell do townsfolk attack you?
I much preferred the N64 version, with those weird horse thingies you could ride, and the homoerotic demons on the game over screen.

Am I the only one that thinks that game had so many drug references? It was like the developers were tripping balls when they made it, even moreso than the makers of Super Mario Bros.
It was an awesome game though. (PULAZUMAAAA!)
Waitwaitwait - two came out for the N64? I'd only ever heard of Mystical Ninja starring Goemon.

http://hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/goemon/goemon5.htmYou can also go back a few pages to see how superior the snes versions were to the rest- the ps2 looks horrible. Incidentally, the american snes cover is one of the best looking ones for that era.

Goemon's Great Adventure was kind of frustrating because you would have to jump to really high platforms and it was really hard to make it most of the time

Mystical ninja was an absolute n64 classic. Awesomely written and just all-around entertaining.

I haven't played them, but since I have an N64 and a monitor (by Commodore!) gathering dust and there's a used console games store nearby, I might just do that. Think they're worth buying?

Where do you live? Country-wise, I mean. I didn't think these things happened.

I always thought that the only one of these games released in America and translated to english was the snes Legend of the Mystical Ninja. Am I wrong? If there are other english goemon games that I can get my hands on, I will.

I sure know I played Goemon's Great Adventure on a legit N64 with a legit cartridge, and it was in German. I have no idea if it was released in the US, but there sure must have been Enlish screen text at the very least.
