It’s not nice to make fun of Gabe’s weight like that.

Knocking out some console games I never got around to and picked up for cheap a while back. Right now I'm about halfway through Quantum Break on Xbox One. The time mechanics make it hard for me to tell if the game is jerking around on purpose or if it's still slightly glitchy after all the patches. The TV show idea is cool too, although I'm glad most games don't make you watch a half an hour TV show at the end of a story act.

I am playing Downloading Monster Hunter World. It's one of those idle games, a pretty basic one as there's no tech tree unless it takes an hour and a half to unlock the first option.

I heard you can speedrun those types of games if you use a cheat called a "torrent".

With torrents you can download from multiple different sources at once, which actually can make some downloads faster, yeah.

but it cant exceed your average speed but also you upload and there may be not enough seeders online, so its faster only when direct download speed is capped for some reason?

Yeah, if the server you’re downloading from is slow for instance, it’s theoretically better to torrent off multiple seeds. There was a project I was in once where our plan was to share code and assets by torrenting them to each other.

Well seeded torrents should max out your connection unless your ISP (illegally, depending on your legislation) is throttling torrent traffic yeah

well, valve is kinda horisontalish. At least they did not lobby for game rental prohibition and manufacture hardware with lowest transparency rating among competitors.
why the heck would valve lobby for something that doesnt affect them

Oddly enough they bank on nostalgia now and most people wouldn't have nostalgia for 90% of these games if they couldn't get a hold of them via rental stores or ROM sites. Games have always been prohibitively expensive and rental places made them accessible. (And ROM sites have kept the nostalgia alive, IMO.)

I want to share to the new generation, the way to speak of the darkside of nintendi is BIG N. was always awful on the business side, like yakuza level cutthroat, which had open the fllod for playstation success and unprecendented partnership

I'm currently playing Caves of Qud.
I've sunk a bunch of time I don't have into it. I've been enjoying the heck out of it but I can't seem to get past Golgotha. Those damned chute crabs kill me every time. This may actually be the first time I ever write a mod, because seriously, !@#$ those things. lol

Stock up on healing items and rush through with as few detours as possible.
