Prototyping a Glorantha-based clan management game, very much inspired by King of Dragon Pass, my favorite game ever. Gameplay will be similar too, with events and multiple choices and so on, but with a few major differences.
Hopefully I'll have some extra time to work on this over the summer, and have something remotely playable by fall!
Technical stuff:
- Pure OpenGL 3.3, probably overkill for 2D but easier to port for mobiles and it's been a good learning experience
- Lua scripting for gameplay, especially events + script editor to easily edit game scripts
- Homegrown UI system written from scratch (couldn't find one I was happy with)
Lots of artwork and UI stuff to be done next, I'll post more screenshots later.
