I did a search and Breakquest has only been mentioned once on the forums.

Watch the video, if that doesn't sell you on it then nothing will.

It's Breakout with physics and a huge amount of variety. Every level is different and it has all kinds of nice physics stuff and related powerups.

It's really sad that Ricochet gets a lot of sucess when Breakquest is vastly superior  Sad

Break Quest is awesome. I do wonder what the guy will do next though. It's been a while now!

Break Quest is amazing. I've never had so much fun with a Breakout game. The soundtrack is great too, composed by a chiptune band called Maniacs of Noise (google 'em sometime, they have a bunch of free songs you can listen to).

The creator of breakquest about his next project:
Quote
GC: Could you please tell us a few details about your next game?

FC: I'm working in a more casual title, a puzzle like Zuma or
Bejeweled, it's a matching game but has its own mechanics
and quite high production values (in the range of casual
games of course). These kind of products have been a hit
in the casual games space lately, so let's see how does
it perform.

I must say that I enjoyed more working with BreakQuest
so I think I'll probably get back to arcade games after
this one.

Well, he made a breakout game that really stands out amongst the others in the genre.
Maybe he could pull that off in match-3 land.

Breakquest is tons of fun, and I love the gravitator thingy they added. Makes the game go much faster and adds a tiny bit of depth as you can try to aim the ball at those pesky last few blocks.

However the whole physics things is a bit of a double edged knife. While it certainly makes things very interesting, it lends itself to fairly unpredictable (for most gamers) behaviour, which made me lose some balls here and there. Also, your ball tends to blend itself with all the tons of crap going on in the screen.

Still very recommendable just for the fun factor.
