Hi!

Feedback request: gameplay, fun factor, art direction (general comments are welcomed too).

Gameplay
Mr. Roboto has to use his doomsday hardware (bombs) to demolish certain blocks in each level. This to trick the drones out of the map so he can head on to the next area (Drones are not damaged by bombs).

He has to use the environment to his advantage. Every block is destructible, Roboto has to place his limited amount of explosives carefully. Sometimes he even have to use the drones before he destroys them, stuff like riding them over dangerous electro magnetic fields (since Mr. Roboto's metallic feet are so tender, and the drones has special plastic wheels).

The vision is kind of like if "the incredible machine" was a platformer.

I've watched the video. Nice puzzle game.
I like how the main-character tumbles around.
It looks quite challenging, because you have to do every step right.
Have your testers been able to solve this without help?

Thanks!

I'm letting some people at my college test it next week, so it remains to be seen.

The video shows how advanced puzzles can be constructed, there will of course be a difficulty curve leading up to something like this.

But yeah, you can do one thing wrong and then not being able to complete the level. I'm going to add a "restart" button, which restarts the level. I thinking this might work, as each level is quite small. A braid rewind thing would be cool, but it's beyond my coding skills.

That sounds great, I've always had a lot of fun with Rube Goldberg type contraptions... ever since I played that board game called "Mouse Trap" when I was a kid.  I watched the video, and the puzzles look difficult but fun.  Good luck with your project, I hope it goes well!
