Hey, I know about BASS and FMOD, but both have expensive commercial licenses.  And that BASS has a  shareware license, but does that include pay-what-you-want titles, where you have to pay *something* (even if it's $0) BEFORE you can play, unlike shareware? 

I'm just looking for a good audio library for indie games that has good DSP support. 

Also I think OpenAL is weird.

There's SDL_mixer and I think SFML also has a similar library. Not vouching for them, but they do exist Smiley
