I love that it reports the averages by operating system. Windows users are dicks: PROVEN.
more like don't have an OS as some kind of symbol

How are the averages by operation system calculated? I've heard that with the purchase you get access to all three versions of each game, anyway, instead of buying a specific one.

Oh... wow. Bought this for 20$ a few hours back, and right now I got an email saying that Samorost 2 is now included as well. That's just really really great.

You are allowed to mark what OS(s) you use, as well as if you want your donation listed and under what name.

Holy shit! You're right! I just checked my download link and sure enough, Samorost 2 can now be downloaded. So not only did I get 5 games for an excellent price, I now got an extra one! It's like Christmas!

Oh wow, Samorost 2! Another game I have wanted to play Sweet. I wonder how I can even develop my games now when I have so many good games to play @Dataflashsabot Same here :D Though my honesty prevents me to try that in case it would actually work...

now that they've raised more than half a million bucks can there please be an aquaria 2 now? you could call it "landia." it would be about people who fly around in skyland.

Awesome to see samorost2 join the bundle, can't wait to play it. edit: only one day left, better hurry up and get it if you haven't already! About pirating an idie bundleThe number is surprisingly low, I really thought that more people would just share the link when they paid $0.01. Turns out even pirates have hearts.

... Don't be stupid - of course pirates have hearts. Sheesh...
I paid the average, which is really ridiculously low given how many quality games are there - but on the other hand the likelihood of me buying them at the price I think they're probably worth in the near or moderate future is pretty much nil so ... good deal for everyone?

This has been a pretty good deal for me:
World of Goo - Fucking Awesome Aquaria - I felt like it was turning me gay until I unlocked Goth Mode, but otherwise really good Gish - Pretty good (just wish they'd spent a bit more time designing interface) Penumbra - Quite interesting Lugaru - Yet to play

I had all the games but I donated to get Lugaru, the only one I've missed before.
I was totally regretting it because it simply sucks, it's very clunky and the level design (if you dare to call an heightmap a level) is just inexistent
Then they added Samorost 2 and I cried with joy.
I think I'm gonna take Overgrowth anyway as Lugaru it's a game that could be great fun if only more polished

Going to have to side with the cheapskate pirating scum here. Was a "pay what you want" deal and they paid what they wanted.

I don't understand why they can't just shut down the pirated links? If every customer only downloads each game once or twice, how hard is it to run a check for links that have had the games downloaded 10 times and close them down?

interesting article, but his explanations as to why people are pirating all assume that people are rational actors doing things for understandable reasons, instead of more like automaton creatures of habit. habit and impulse are probably more responsible for the 25% of people who downloaded the games without paying a cent than those other factors he names are. similarly, when he says that one-click stores do better because people are lazy, it's much much more likely that one-click stores do better because people are impulsive. making them think about whether or not they really want to buy something by asking them to fill in a bunch of text fields reduces their impulsive buying behavior. I don't understand why they can't just shut down the pirated links? If every customer only downloads each game once or twice, how hard is it to run a check for links that have had the games downloaded 10 times and close them down?
what -- you don't understand what drm-free means? if they did those checks, they couldn't claim it was drm-free.

Does that qualify as DRM? Isn't it usual that when you buy something online and get supplied a link, you get 3 downloads per default and can contact the vendor if you need more?

yes, limiting downloads absolutely qualifies as drm. any attempt to protect one's digital rights is drm. cd-keys are drm, for instance.
