PURPLE TOWER
a new game i made, which is totally procedurally generated. i decided not to put instructions so you'll need to discover how to do things yourself! it's a hard game sort of, but really short. enjoy. There is music now and some new stuff for those who played the older versions! PS: there is no music atm, cause i'm no musician okay. : ( Download (version 0.4)

I got to about level 4 and then a slider trapped me into this corner. Walking into it or the walls didn't cause either of these sliders (which had already moved) to kill me, so I was stuck and had to restart... Other than that, I love it! Someone should donate some muzac to it too.

Cute game, ein! All I really have to say is that your "figure out how to play the game yourself" tactic went a bit too far for me... I easily found the swords, but I spent about 5 minutes trying to figure out how to wield them while running away from the enemies. So, all in all, pretty good!

My rule is: the first one to deliver gets the place. Spelunky-like music, i guess. EDIT: on a related note, an awesome artwork by JaJitsu <3

The game itself is pretty fun and just difficult enough to make you want to beat it. The only thing is, like previously mentioned, you might have overdone it with the "learn how to play yourself" approach. It can get pretty confusing since the point of the game is to collect swords... and not use them . But I suppose that made the first level interesting in itself. Looking forward to trying it out with some spiffy music .

Cute, nice mechanics! The only thing that prevents me from really enjoying the game is how fast death happens and is over. A death animation or a little pause when you die would help a lot.

...I'm known for lying to little girls. New version is up! There's actually an attack now There's music (thanks Javet!) You can change resolution size! There are less bugs! I think this is the definitive version. Have fun! Download (version 0.4)

I like that music! Has a Cave Story Moonsong-esque feel to it, but more dire, which is exactly what I imagined for the game. There is some "crackling", though; I'd fix that. With my limited musical composition experience, I think it happens when the music is too "loud"? Also, I just noticed the innuendo in the name.

The cute graphics and mellow music can barely conceal the sheer harshness and brutality of this game, just the way I like it. Haven't beaten it yet I'll keep on tryin'. I don't really have any constructive criticism except the distribution of the "water" tiles often looks somewhat goofy.

i really dig how the player is left with minimal instructions and has to divine the games inner-workings through playing. i know it'd be hard to add extra layers of complexity to the title, but i'd definitely stick with this title and refine it some more. i love what you have so far though.
